1. Agreement and parties
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Naggy Buddy Chrome extension and the optional paid Buddy+ features.
Naggy Buddy is supplied and licensed by the developer and publisher identified in its Chrome Web Store listing ("Naggy Buddy", "we", "us", or "our"). Google and the Chrome Web Store are not the seller of Buddy+. Buddy+ payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, currently operated by Sold through Link, LLC, as merchant of record.
By installing or using Naggy Buddy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension. If you cannot legally enter into this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.
2. What Naggy Buddy does
Naggy Buddy is a productivity tool that shows reminders on websites you explicitly select. It can track active time for those selected hostnames, show an in-page reminder, pause or resume reminders, and close the current tab only after you confirm that action.
Naggy Buddy does not guarantee productivity, focus, health, or any particular outcome. It is not medical, mental-health, or professional advice. You remain responsible for how you use your browser and for any decision to continue using or close a website.
3. Free features and Buddy+
The free version supports up to five active nudge sites. Buddy+ is an optional one-time purchase that currently unlocks expanded nudge-site capacity and Deep Nudge. The checkout and extension describe the features included at the time of purchase.
Buddy+ is not a recurring subscription. A one-time purchase does not guarantee that every feature added in the future will be included, or that Naggy Buddy will remain available forever. We will not intentionally remove purchased access without a valid reason such as a refund, fraud, license abuse, a material breach of these Terms, a legal requirement, or discontinuation of the product.
Buddy+ requires periodic online license validation through Lemon Squeezy. Validation normally occurs no more than once every 24 hours when Chrome runs the extension. After a successful validation, Buddy+ may continue locally for up to seven days if validation is temporarily unavailable. If the license cannot be validated after that period, the extension may temporarily return to the free feature limit until validation succeeds. Free features do not require Buddy+ activation.
4. Purchases and payment
The price, currency, applicable taxes, and final total are shown at Lemon Squeezy checkout before you purchase. Lemon Squeezy processes payment, provides the receipt, and handles payment details as merchant of record. Your transaction is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms.
You must provide accurate purchase information and keep access to the email address used at checkout so that you can receive your receipt and license key. Do not publish or share your license key.
5. Buddy+ license
After a valid purchase, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use Buddy+ for your own use, subject to these Terms.
One Buddy+ license may be active on up to 20 Chrome browser or profile installations at the same time. Each browser profile may consume a separate activation. You should deactivate Buddy+ in Options before removing the extension or abandoning a Chrome profile so that the activation slot can be reused. If you lose access to an old installation, contact us for reasonable license support.
You may not:
- sell, rent, sublicense, publish, or share the license key with another person
- bypass or interfere with license validation or activation limits
- reverse engineer or modify Naggy Buddy except where applicable law expressly permits it
- use Naggy Buddy to violate law or the rights of another person
- introduce malicious code, disrupt the extension, or misuse support or refund processes
6. Updates and compatibility
Naggy Buddy may update automatically through Chrome. We may fix defects, improve security or usability, change features, or adapt the extension to Chrome and third-party website changes. Chrome, websites, operating systems, or other third parties may change in ways that temporarily or permanently affect a feature.
We may discontinue Naggy Buddy or Buddy+ when reasonably necessary. Where practicable, we will provide reasonable notice and consider an appropriate remedy for materially affected recent purchases. Any mandatory remedy available under applicable consumer law remains unaffected.
7. Site access and user control
Naggy Buddy requests access only for websites you choose as nudge sites. You can remove a site, revoke its Chrome permission, pause reminders, deactivate Buddy+, or uninstall the extension. Some features cannot work after required Chrome permission is denied or revoked.
The Close tab action closes only the tab that displayed the reminder and requires confirmation. You are responsible for saving work or content before closing a tab.
8. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the Naggy Buddy Privacy Policy. Lemon Squeezy separately processes checkout and license information under its own terms and privacy policy.
9. Ownership and third-party materials
Naggy Buddy, its original code, brand, copy, and artwork are owned by the publisher or its licensors. These Terms grant permission to use the product, not ownership of it. Third-party fonts, icons, and assets remain subject to their respective licenses, as identified in the notices distributed with the extension.
10. Refunds
Buddy+ refunds are governed by the Naggy Buddy Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The policy currently provides a voluntary full-refund period of 14 calendar days after the original purchase, subject to its stated conditions and any rights required by law.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Naggy Buddy is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every website, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, remedies, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Naggy Buddy and its publisher are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss caused by an unavailable reminder, a closed tab, website changes, or loss of unsaved page content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising from Buddy+ will not exceed the amount you paid for Buddy+, unless applicable law requires a greater remedy.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Naggy Buddy at any time. We may suspend or terminate Buddy+ access when reasonably necessary because of a refund, chargeback, fraud, shared or compromised license keys, circumvention of activation controls, a material breach of these Terms, or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to contact us and resolve an error.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The current version will be posted at the same public location with a revised date. Material changes will apply prospectively, except where an immediate change is reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Changes will not override mandatory rights or remedies that already apply to a purchase.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without excluding mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue, but doing so does not waive any legal right or deadline.
